Former Dublin hotshot Ray Cosgrove says the high-scoring Dubs Class of '14 has "taken it to another level".

The defending All-Ireland champions have averaged 28.5 points per match so far in this year's championship and have had 20 different scorers. Cosgrove - the last Dub to finish Top Scorer in the championship (tying with Oisin McConville in 2002) - has been suitably impressed by Jim Gavin's offensive masterclass:

"Jim has the philosophy 'we'll outshoot you'. He feels he has enough firepower up front to go toe to toe," he says in The Irish Daily Star.

"They are so different to Kerry, who hit quality ball to James O'Donoghue.

"Dublin have waves of support fellas on the shoulder, Michael Darragh breaking the gain line, Cian going into space.

"The first option is to look forward, get the ball into the danger area and that came from 'Giller's [Pat Gilroy's] era.

"They really have taken it to another level. They are so far ahead. Every opposition they have played, they've blown them out of the water."
