Karl Lacey is in danger of missing Donegal's All-Ireland SFC semi-final clash with Dublin.
The 2012 Footballer of the Year sustained hamstring damage during Saturday's quarter-final victory over Armagh and is in a race against time to he ready to face the Dubs on August 31st.
Despite picking up the injury early on, Lacey remained on the field for the entire 70+ minutes as the Ulster champions battled to a one-point success.
The quadruple All Star defender limped onto the team bus after the match and will undergo a scan this week to assess the full extent of the damage.
The Four Masters clubman is a key cog in the Donegal machine and manager Jim McGuinness has promised that all the stops will be pulled out to have him ready for Sunday fortnight:
"Karl nicked his hamstring early in the game, but the type of player Karl is, he was determined to play on. We'll do all we can to have him right for the semi-final."
