It was provincial final day in Leinster and Ulster as the football deciders took place in both provinces.

The Dublin bandwagon rolled into town once again and this time, it was the turn of their old rivals Meath to try and stop Jim Gavin's juggernaut.

If any team could put a halt to the Dubs' dominance in Leinster then it was believed that the Royals coudl do so, but Dublin just seem to be getting stronger.

Up in Clones, Monaghan and Donegal renewed acquaintances for the second consecutive year. The Tir Chonaill men had not beaten the Farney County in the championship since 1983 and that was a driving factor for them.

Also down for decision were the Ulster and Leinster minor football championship finals as Donegal faced Armagh and Dublin took on Kildare respectively.

We had live text commentary for the senior games, while we also had score updates throughout the day from the minor matches.
