Dublin were staring the U-21 FC exit door in the face until their substitutes got them out of jail.

That was the opinion of 'man-of-the-match' Conor McHugh - who finished the semi-final with three points to his name - when speaking to TG4: "I thought it was going from us there when they went two points up with 10 minutes to go but our sub-bench, unbelievable, they all came on and contributed.

"That's what it was down to.

"You know what you're going to get from Cavan. They're going to give it everything.

"Conor Moynagh there, he couldn't walk but he came on and did his bit for his county.
