Leinster MFC: O'Callaghan stears Dublin to victory

May 13, 2013
Dublin marched on to the Leinster MFC semi-finals following a 0-17 to 0-9 victory over a gallant Wexford side at the DCU Sportsgrounds on Saturday afternoon.

The home side held a 0-8 to 0-6 lead at the break. Sam Molony, Eoghan O'Donnell and Con O'Callaghan, who scored four points over then hour, all found the target for Dublin early on.

Some excellent free-taking from Donal Shanley kept Wexford in touch.

However, a dominant third quarter from Dublin proved decisive as they manage five scores without reply.

Shanley hit two more points for his side but Michael Deegan and O'Callaghan were in fine scoring form at the opposite end.

O'Callaghan had a goal chance late on but his shot rebounded off the crossbar.
