Kerry's Kieran Donaghy and Dublin's Denis Bastic get in a tangle during the NFL clash at Parnell Park
Denis Bastick will miss Dublin's glamour NFL opener against Kerry after undergoing minor shoulder surgery.

Dubs boss Pat Gilroy confirmed after yesterday's O'Byrne Cup semi-final loss to Kildar that the midfielder will miss the All-Ireland final repeat at Croke Park on Saturday week.

Dublin could be missing up to 10 players for the game, including All Star forwards Paul Flynn, Bernard and Alan Brogan as well as Barry Cahill, Kevin Nolan and Bastick.

2011 Footballer of the Year Alan Brogan is expected to be sidelined for another three weeks after aggravating a knee injury, while Bernard won't return from an extended holiday abroad until just days before the Kerry game.
