Senior Mens Football :After a very close game on Wed night last which saw the AFL 1 Team loosing out to Thomas Davis in a close encounter on a scoreline of 0.10 to 0.12.Next up for the AFL 1 team is away game to St Judes on Wed next at 7.30,please note the change of venue for this game ,it will be played in Abbotstown.

 

Ladies Adult Football : The Div 1 Ladies team had a win over Ballyboden St Endas on Wed night last. Next up for the Div 1 team is a home tie with Clanna Gael/Fontenoy on June 26th at 7.30pm while the Div 4 team have an away game to Croi Ro Naofa/Robert Emmets on Wed next 26th June at 7.30pm in Killinarden Park. .

 

Adult Football : The AFL 6 Team play their next game against Civil Service at home on June 25th at 7.30 pm.The AFL 11 team played on Thursday night last against Round Towers Lusk both sides shared the points in a tough test.Their next game is on July 7th at 3pm  Away to Naomh Mearnog.

 

Minor Football : On Sunday last the Two Minor Football teams lined out at home the MFL 2 side playing Whitehall Colmcilles on the main pitch with the MFL 5 side hosting St Vincent’s in Balheary.Two  super games ensued both very enjoyable to watch with their high skill and intensity ,unfortunately both teams came out on the losing end.But were two great battles.And very well supported on the sidelines.Gallery of Photographs on the Club Facebook page.

 

U11 Ladies : The U11 Ladies Football played a Summer Blitz in Balheary on Sunday morning with visiting teams St Brendans and Castleknock ,it marked the end of their games for the Summer ,super display of skills and Team work from the hard working Players and Coaches,and great support from the sidelines.Gallery of Photographs on the club Facebook page.

Beidh ár ngrúpa comhrá ag tógáil sos thar an samhraidh. Críochnóidh siad tar éis an seisiún ar an 26ú Meitheamh. Fillfidh siad ar ais ar an gCéadaoin, 4ú Meán Fomhair ag a 9 don séasúr nua. 

 

Our Irish conversation group will take a break over the summer. They will finish after the session on 26th June. They will return on Wednesday, 4th September at 9 for a new season. 

 

We are launching a policy in the club on the usage of mobile phones.We would like parents and supporters to try not to use their phones during games and training of our young players ,and spend time encouraging them instead.Signage will appear in the club in relation to this, we would be very grateful if all could help make this work.

 

The club will be running our ‘Fins on Tour’ photo series on Facebook over the summer. If going on holiday make sure to pack your jersey and send photos to [email protected] School holidays don’t start until 29th June so don’t send until then. The teachers will be giving out!

 

The Academy will finish up for the summer break on Sat next 29th June til Sept.We would like to wish all the players Parents and Mentors a super summer and will see you all again in Sept ,raring to go !.

 

Celtic Challenge : Well done to Gordon Rodgers,Ben Stears and Jamie Green who lined out for the Dublin Plunkett Team  in their Semi Final with Dublin Clarke in Donaghmore Ashbourne as part of the Celtic Challenge Competition.See Gallery of Pix on the Facebook page.

 

Wellness :The Club have set up a Wellness Group ,signage will be going up around the club house during the week informing members on the details of the groups specific email address has been set up for anybody wishing to contact them .

Summer Camps : Forms are now available in the bar for the Summer Camps.We are running Two CUL Camps this year as the numbers wanting to join are huge the dates are Mon 8th July to Fri 12th July and Mon 12th Aug to Fri 16th Aug times are 9am to 2pm.The Dual Football Hurling/Camogie camps are Mon 22th July to Fri 26th July and Mon 19th Aug to Fri 23th Aug start time is 9am tie 1pm.The Hurling School of Excellence is Mon 29th July to Thursday 1th Aug start time 10am til 2pm.The Paul Flynn Football School of Excellence is from Tue 6th Aug to Fri 9th Aug with a start time of 10am tie 2pm.Details of prices are in the Forms available in the Bar.

Online registration for the first cul camp (8th-12th of July) is now closed as it’s reached the limit of online bookings. Limited places are still available via the bar. The camp is being capped at 250 so tell your teams to get their registration forms in ASAP otherwise they will be disappointed!!! Once a child does the first cul camp they are more then welcome to do the second one in August. However they don’t pay the full price as they don’t get the gear!! Cost of cul camp is €60 for the first child, €55 for the second, €45 for the third. Collection of the cul camp gear for the 1st cul camp in July will happen on Friday 5th of July in the club from 6-8pm

Club Shop : The shop will close on 30th June and reopen onl the 7th September.

 

Hurling :The Hurlers enjoyed a different type of Training session during the week when they travelled to Malahide to pick up a few tips from Malahide Cricket Club.

They would like to thank the Cricket Club for the greatt welcome.

 

Next up in the Jun A Champ is an Away game to St Judes in Tymon North Park at 7.30pm on July 9th . 

 

Summer Leagues : Check out the Fingallians Facebook page for details of the club Summer Leagues .This is a great opportunity to introduce non members to the club.For any information contact Brian Jordan  Club GPO.The Camogie is next up for the Mini Leagues on Tue ,Wed and Thursday night ,check with mentors for details.This has been a huge success so far ,well done to GPO Brian Jordan for all the great work pulling it all together and to all the Mentors and Parents who are helping out. Lotto : The Lotto numbers for last week were 1,2,6,7,9.There  were Six winners Noel Markey,Carol Callan,Danny Wilders,Denise Warren,Maurice Burke and Woody. ..Next weeks Jackpot is € 2,344

 

Social Football : New Players are always welcome to the All Weather on Friday nights at 8pm to join the Social Football Team ,great way to blow off a few cobwebs ,you never know Jim could be watching !.

 

It is with great sadness that the club has learned of the passing of Christina Kiely, Rath Lane, Rolestown. Christina was the wife of Dominick Kiely, who was a member of our historic 1957 winning team. The club wishes to offer our condolences to Christina’s husband Dominick, their children, Orla, Deirdre, Damian, Ciarán and Claire, the extended Kiely and Lawless families, the O’Scannaill, McGuinness and Kavanagh familes, Christina’s many friends, and the members of our near neighbours at Fingal Ravens GFC. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam dílis.
