Dara Moynihan and his Kerry team-mates showed their supporters what they are all about against Dublin tonight.

The Kingdom’s half-forward was a deserving recipient of the ‘man-of-the-match’ award in the Tralee thriller and, speaking to eir Sport afterwards, he admitted the going was tough, particularly in the closing stages as the All-Ireland champions piled on the pressure.

“They went a man down and they upped the intensity then,” he pointed out.

“We were four points up and they clawed it back. They missed a free then off the post to go level. That kind of spurred on a bit, we won the kick-out and went up and got the winner.

“It was a great win but we wouldn’t be getting ahead of ourselves. It’s only the third round of the league but it’s still always great to beat the Dubs at home in front of a full crowd.”

He added: “Most importantly we wanted to get the performance, we wanted to show the fans we have passion, energy, work-rate – I think we showed that tonight.”
