The Leinster SHC final could be moved to a Saturday next year to avoid a clash with its Munster counterpart.

This year, the Leinster and Munster hurling deciders were played on the same day and, according to Martin Breheny in the Irish Independent, moves are afoot to ensure the scenario isn't repeated in 2019. The unfortunate clash was caused by the new round-robin format in both provinces which resulted in a tighter schedule.

It's believed that Leinster are willing to play their hurling final on a Saturday evening next year, but only if Munster agree to staging their showpiece game on a Saturday in 2020.
