Former Galway All-Ireland winning manager John O'Mahony expects the Tribesmen to "fully test the mettle of Dublin" in tomorrow evening's All-Ireland SFC semi-final at Croke Park.
Kevin Walsh's side will battle it out with the Dubs at headquarters looking for their county's first All-Ireland final berth since 2001 and O'Mahony, who was over the team on that occasion, is expecting a cracking contest.
"I'd expect it to be a very good game," O'Mahony told the Irish Daily Star.
"On the weekend's evidence your head would have to say Dublin and if I was analysing the game that's what I'd say but the heart will certainly be with Galway.
"I don't think there'll be much in it, I think it could be a humdinger of a game and they will fully test the mettle of Dublin.
"I wouldn't rule out a shock."
