June 22, 2018

Lucan Sarsfields are delighted to announce that the Endeavour Award for 2018 will be given to Divine Mercy Senior National School Balgaddy.

The Endeavour Award is designed to allow 30 pupils experience Gaelic Games as part of one of the largest sporting organisations in West Dublin. As part of the award, a 12-week membership is being extended to the pupils to allow them to experience the full club experience and to enjoy and develop their skills in Gaelic Games.

Ben Murphy, Chairman of Lucan Sarsfields is delighted to extend a 12-week membership to the pupils. He said:

"The spirit of the Endeavour Award is to encourage new endeavours among younger members of our community. We are delighted that we will be joined by 30 pupils from Divine Mercy National School for over three months, and to allow them to fully experience all the things that our club can offer. Gaelic Games are open to all, and we see it as our role to encourage access to our games and our club across Lucan"

"We hope that this year's Endeavour Award will help us in our endeavour to be the pulse of the Community in Lucan, but also that it will encourage the pupils from Divine Mercy Senior National School in their endeavours on the pitch and as part of our club."

Fielding over 145 teams every week, and with and membership touching 2900 from all over Lucan, along with various community-focused initiatives, such as Sars Stars (GAA for All), Health Club and the GAA Social Initiative, Lucan Sarsfields GAA is proud to be the pulse of the community within Lucan.
