AN RIOCHT / KINGDOM

 

Kingdom Youth Club introduces a New Programme on Wednesdays at 7pm for six weeks for aged 11 to 13 and designed around suggestions from the young people in the club. Practical and impartial advice on healthy relationships and issues in young people's lives. Anyone wishing to participate must complete a consent form from the club and return it before the programme begins. If you would like any more information, please feel free to contact Jennifer and Lee at the club.

 

Down GAA Draw tickets & An Riocht 'Cow Pat' challenge squares on sale now from the club or every committee member.

 

Anyone interested in sitting on a Planning & Physical Development sub-committee should contact Daniel Sloan or the Club before the first meeting on Thursday 26th January.

 

Anyone interested in photography, IT / Facebook, match reports, designing posters etc and willing to join a PR sub-committee please contact PRO Jane Eakins or the Club.

 

Anyone with any ideas on fund-raising, the wackier the better, please let us know.

 

There was a good turn-out for the first Registration Night last Thursday, it continues this week and next on Thursdays from 7pm to 9pm. All players, team mentors and Club administrators must be registered, it would be encouraging if parents and family members also joined up, contact Conor Morgan for further information.

 

An Riocht Membership is now due and remains at 2016 prices which are Child (U18) £10; Adult £25; Senior Citizen £10; Family £60 (2 adults & unlimited children).

 

As regards Camogie Registration Fees: for each Youth Member aged to 18 we pay €6 to Croke Park Camogie, €2 to Ulster Camogie, and €5 to Down Camogie that's €13 per underage player; for Adult Players aged over 18 we pay €16 to Croke Park Camogie, €2 to Ulster Camogie, and €5 to Down Camogie that's €23 each; for Non-Playing aged 18+ we pay €3 to Croke Park Camogie; in addition, County Boards still add their own levies which have to be paid.

Down GAA U21 Footballers trained at Dunavil on Friday.

 

There will be no Yoga class until further notice.

 

There were good turn outs despite the freezing weather for the U14 to Senior Camogie Wall Ball sessions which started last week and which continue for seven more weeks.

 

There will be a folk and trad night at Dunavil on Saturday 21st January with among others, the Shillelaghs, with music from 8.30pm to 11.30pm and a presentation to the Kevin Bell Repatriation Fund at 10pm; admission is by donation and all are welcome.

 

Tuesday 17th January

6pm Irish Dancing; 7pm FIFA Tournament; 7pm U14 Camogie Wall Ball session; 7.15pm Irish language beginners class; 7.15pm Indoor Gaelic for U16 (born 2001 & 2002); 8pm U16 Camogie Wall Ball session; 8.15pm Senior Gaelic in the hall.

Wednesday 18th January

11am Men's Shed; 6pm Ladies Circuits with Claire; 7pm Indoor Camogie for P3 & P4; 7pm KYC Positive Relationships Programme for aged 11 to 13; 8pm Indoor Camogie for U12 (born 2005 & 2006).

Thursday 19th January

6pm Irish Dancing; 7pm to 9pm An Riocht Registration now due Child (U18) £10; Adult £25; Senior Citizen £10; Family £60 (2 adults & unlimited children); 7pm U18 Camogie Wall Ball session; LOHAH / YAFTAS; 8pm Senior Camogie Wall Ball session

Friday 20th January

11am Men's Shed; 6.30pm Indoor Camogie for P1 & P2; 7pm Kids Movie Night; 7.30pm Indoor Camogie for P5 & P6; 8.30pm Senior Gaelic in the hall; 8.30pm fortnightly Poker Night.

Saturday 21st

9am GAA Officer Training; 11am Indoor Gaelic for P1 & P2; 12pm Indoor Gaelic for P3 & P4; 6pm Basketball Premier League Knights v Queens; 8.30pm to 11.30pm Trad & Folk in aid of Kevin Bell Repatriation Fund, admission by donation; cheque presentation at 10pm.

Sunday 22nd January

10am Senior Gaelic; 10.30am Breakfast @ Dunavil; 11am U12 Gaelic and 12pm U14 Gaelic, both outdoor weather permitting; 1pm Birthday Party; 8pm Bingo @ Dunavil

Monday 23rd January

11am Men's Shed; 6.45pm Indoor Gaelic for P5 & P6; 8pm Minor Gaelic outdoor; 9pm Lotto

Tuesday 24th January
