Well Done - to Ciara Mageean on a brilliant run in the Olympic Semi final. The whole of Ireland and of course Portaferry is proud of you. This is not the end, just the beginning. Rory's Stories - this popular and hilarious act will be in St Patricks Park on Sunday 28th August from 8.30pm to 10pm, a disco follows. Ticket prices are for Adults £10, U18s £5 (must be accompanied by an adult and left the premises by 10pm) limited number of 40 U18 tickets. Tickets will be available from Mary Jo Mallon, Anne Fitzsimmons, Gemma O'Neill and Mick Blair and will be on sale soon. Keep an eye on this page. It's 1 not to be missed.

Ferry Fit Club - Ferry Fit challenge is now closed. Thank you to everyone who registered and supported this new venture. We are at full capacity and the committee are in for a busy few weeks.  We hope to get our own Facebook page (closed group) up and running very soon. We will also be contacting our motivators and having a chat and getting them focused on the fun tasks ahead. Thanks to our local Centra for the water and fruit for registration and it's now full steam ahead. Thanks to all the motivators for attending the meeting. We are extremely pleased with the response and appreciate you assisting us with Ferry Fit Challenge. All the motivators are paired up so they can get their ideas flowing. Before you go and contact them I can save you the bother and tell you they don't know their teams yet... All will be revealed in due course. The Ferry fit Facebook page is now up and running (participants only) it's called Ferry Fit Challengers 2016, head over and request to join the page and look forward to seeing you at the meet and greet night. FFC 2016 is getting real.

 

Juvenile Training - continues on Friday nights with start time of 6.30pm. We need some volunteers to help out on the night. It will be for only 1 hour. Parents are more than welcome to help out. No role is too small and all help is appreciated. These young players are the future of our club, let's give them fun moments. Thank you to all.

 

Twilight Walk - is on Friday 9th September leaving the Portaferry Hotel at 7.30pm. This is for Cancer Research, £10 registration. Details on Facebook page. This could interest our Ferry Fit Club.

 

Best Wishes - to all our young players who will be receiving exam results over the next week. Some of you might not get the results you wished for, but its not the end of the world. Every individual has a different path in life and working careers, so keep the head up. If you need to talk with someone, please do so. Good luck to all.
