The Senior Footballers won 2-15 to 0-8 in Carryduff at the weekend with a solid if unspectacular performance and played the big pitch well.

The Reserve Footballers match with Carryduff was postponed until Friday 15th July.

 

The Minor Footballers lost to Ballyholland 1-10 to 2-17. We looked like a team just returning after a long break and trailed at the interval 1-12 to 0-4 but improved considerably on the restart to make a game of it and edge the second half scoring stakes. The U14 Footballers won in Annaclone 5-16 to 4-6 with a good team performance. Thanks to the parents who travelled to support the boys.

The P3/P4 Footballers' two teamsplayed in the Adrian McAlinden tournament on Saturday at Dunavil (photo attached) enjoying games with Skyrne (Meath), St Johns (Belfast), St Peters (Lurgan), Tullylish, Michael Davitts (Belfast), Atticall, Burren and O'Donovan Rossa Magherafelt (Derry).

The U12 Camogs match with Dromara was postponed.

 

The U14 Camogs won in Atticall 5-5 to 11-0 with extra special performances from Sinead Morgan, Amy Rooney & Cerys Clarke.

The Minor Camogs played Ballyholland in a challenge match only their second outing of the season. Their league resumes on 5th July with a trip to the Ards, training 7pm on Fridays.

The Senior Camogs drew 3-8 to 3-8 with Ballyholland in a challenge, they play Castlewellan away in the league on Monday.

The Club is holding a 24 Hour Spinathon at Dunavilin aid of PIPS and Southern Area Hospice and club development from 11pm on Friday 1st July to 11pm on Saturday 2nd July, a lot of the one hour slots are taken but we want to fully complete them which would raise a minimum of £5,000 so please give an hour, call in to the club and put your name up on the big board, all abilities welcome, it's a bit of fun in aid of a good cause. There will be a coffee morning, bouncy castles, carnival side shows and a rodeo bull on the Saturday with the evening finishing with a Country Music Jamboree.

 

The Final Community Pharmacy event took place on Wednesday past and all the participants commented on how useful the programme was over the past months; thanks to everyone who facilitated or participated.

 

Kingdom YC/An Riocht GAA Volunteer Recognition event took place last Thursday when Fr Hennity presented 'Thank You' Volunteer Pins to the volunteers present. Any club volunteer who was unable to make it on Thursday can collect their pin from the office. Our organisations could not operate without volunteers, they are the local heroes who help us provide vital services to this community, their dedication and hard work deserves to be recognised in this way.

 

At the Adrian McAlinden Cup P3/P4 football tournament at Dunavil, 30 teams played 78 games with Skryne (Meath) beating Clann Na Banna (Down) in the Shield Final and O'Donovan Rossa Magherafelt (Derry) beating Trillick (Tyrone) in the Cup Final. Every player received an identical medal, over 500 medals were distributed. Thanks to all the teams for their co-operation on the day and to all the club volunteers who worked tirelessly to make the day a success.

Please note that now our Saturday morning tournaments are over that P3/P4 Football reverts back to 12pm to 1pm on Saturdays; P5/P6 Football continues on Fridays at 6.15pm.

 

The Annual General Meeting of Kingdom Youth Club will take place at 7.30pm on Wednesday 6th July.

 

 

The 'Mum & Me' Camogie continues on Wednesdays from 6.30pm while the children do their own practice, well done to those who have come forward to get involved and it's not too late for others to join in.
