The Senior Footballers drew in Tullylish on Friday, probably a fair result. We did not play at all well only showing intensity in patches and when the only score kicked from play came from a defender, the front eight need to do better.

An Riocht: Brendan McVeigh 1-0 (pen), Michael Clarke, John O'Rourke, Aidan Sloan, James Cunningham 0-1, Paul Allen, Conor Doyle, Kory Colgan, Ronan McAlinden 0-2 (2f), Conor Cole, Martin Clarke 1-2 (2f), Deaglan Morgan, Rory Cunningham, Noel McArdle 0-2 (2f), Chris Killen.

Sub: Sean Clarke.

The Minor Footballers lost in Saval by five points, 1-17 to 6-7 they played some great football and scored eighteen times but you cannot concede six goals and win.

The U16 Football match with Newry Mitchels did not take place.

The U14 Footballers won in Rostrevor on Monday past; ahead from early on, An Riocht withstood a Rostrevor rally and finished strongly on a 7-13 to 4-7 score line.

Team: Curtis Flanagan, Ben Matthews, Ryan Mackey, William Harper, Cameron Harper, Eoin Killen, Reece Flanagan, Cormac Clarke, Aidan Gribben, Ross Colgan, Jack Rodgers, Lorcan Donnan, Shane Quinn, Matthew McCartan, Jerry Lee McVeigh. Subs: Mark McVeigh. Ryan Cunningham.

An Riocht SUBWAY Player of the Match Reece Flanagan.

The U12 Footballers played a great game on Sunday with Newry Shamrocks just falling short on a 2-12 to 6-3 score line but impressing with some magnificent passages of play.

The P5/P6 Footballers had two teams in the South Down Blitz at Dunavil on Saturday and enjoyed games with Atticall, Longstone, Clonduff and Rostrevor.

The Senior Camogs hosted Ballymacnab in a challenge match on Friday past.

The U18 Camogie v Ballyholland was postponed. Well done to Lauren Clarke and the Down Minor Camogs who won the All Ireland Minor 'B' Final v Roscommon on Saturday.

The U14 Camogie Feile was cancelled, then later in the week put on again but by then we had other plans in place and could not defend the Shield which we had won in 2014 and 2015.

An Riocht U14 Camogs beat Kilclief Ben Dearg 6-0 to 2-4 at Dunavil on Tuesday past with great scores coming from Cerys & Amy Clarke and top class defending from Aimee Harper.

An Riocht: Sinead Morgan, Nanette Campbell, Aimee Harper, Rachel Clarke, Shannagh Campbell, Cerys Clarke, Caoimhe Donnan, Mollie Ireland, Caitlin Small, Amy Clarke, Amy Rooney.

The U12 Camogs attended the 'Caman to Ulster' event in Tyrone Centre of Excellence where they played three matches winning against Naomh Brid Brocagh (Tyrone) and St. Patricks Keady (Armagh) and with two players out to injury unfortunately despite terrific effort lost to St. Patricks An Lub (Derry). The girls played well on the day in very cold conditions and for the first games of the season showed great teamwork.

The U6/U8 & U10/U12 Camogs had fun indoor games with Atticall on Wednesday past. All girls got playing; winning Subway Golden Tickets for players of the matches were Shannon Marie Morgan, Annalise White and Chantelle White.

Kingdom Cleaning Crew for Thursday 28th April: Jane Donnelly Eakins, Julie Ann McAleenan, Sharon Small, Daiva Shepcar, Pat Doherty.

The Concussion workshop had a small but receptive attendance on Thursday, thanks to Gareth Thornton for facilitating this most important information session.

Raffle tickets are out at present in aid of Camogie funds. Tickets are £1 each or book of six for £5 and are available from ALL Camogie players and coaches for a large selection of prizes. The Raffle will be drawn at the Camogie Coffee Morning on Saturday 7th May.

There are now over sixty young Camogs turning out each Wednesday for practice and this has put unprecedented pressure on the coaches to cope so we are calling on everyone to do their bit to help with either the U6 & U8 from 6.15pm to 7.15pm (perfect timing for those going on to Senior training at 7.30pm!) or with the U10 & U12 from 7.15pm to 8.15pm (for those not involved with Senior training).
