The OCN Senior Members final workshop took place on Wednesday at Dunavil. Well done to Aoife, Caoimhe, Caomhan, Ciarrai, Eoin, Eve, John Joe, Paddy, Paul, Tiarna.

The re-convened An Riocht Annual General Meeting took place on Wednesday with a smallish attendance which combined with an earlier decision that no-one should hold more than one position on the Executive Committee resulted in several positions not being filled.
The committee elected was Chairperson James Cunningham, Vice-Chairperson Tara Campbell, Treasurer Michael O'Rourke, Secretary Joseph Donnan, PRO Jane Eakins, County Board Delegate Sean O'Rourke, Children's Officers June Cunningham & Leo Sloan, Insurance Officer Anne McArdle, Development Officer Raymond Sloan, Social Initiative Co-ordinator Tom Cunningham, Camogie Chairperson Patricia Clarke.
The Football Chairperson will be elected on Monday 8 February and the Players' Representative at the next respective Camogie & Football sub-committee meetings.
That leaves us still looking for an Assistant-Treasurer, an Assistant-Secretary, a Registrar, an Officer for Language & Culture, and a Health & Wellbeing Officer.
So it is obvious that An Riocht need more people to come forward and work alongside experienced Club officials in one of these vacant areas of responsibility for the nine months to the next AGM at the start of November.
The treasurers Report showed a small surplus of income over expenditure in the thirteen months to 31st October last.
As a club we should be proud that we continue to support local charities and have donated approximately £12,000 over the past three years. Also during the winter Dunavil was set up as a local collection point for Refugee Aid and drew a huge amount of public donations which necessitated a daily commitment by Club volunteers to sort and package all the goods.
New enthusiastic coaches have been recruited in both camogie and football and display a willingness to further their coach education by attending accredited courses and we are back coaching in local primary schools.
We want to give everyone the opportunity to take part in Gaelic Games & Culture and we took part in Junior Scor but not in Senior Scor and our Irish Language class stopped. We need help to promote music, song, dance, language, and drama within the Club
We strive to provide opportunities for a lifelong engagement with the Club and promote activities within the Club for players when they have finished playing competitively and encourage participation for older people through the GAA Social Initiative scheme.
We try to promote a Health & Wellbeing Agenda within the Club in simple forms by providing fruit after training and hosting a Community Pharmacy programme for older people and a concussion workshop with Dessie Gibson; but there is so much more could be done to improve health and wellbeing if there were a few more volunteers to concentrate on this. We were one of only two clubs in Down who took part in 'Off The Booze & On the Ball'.
In 2016 we intend to hold three Headline Fund Raising Events and need assistance to recommend, organise and implement these projects. If enough people will help, then each group need work on only one of the three events significantly reducing their workload. Already the Senior Camogs and Senior Footballers have arranged 'Lip Sync Battle' at the Club on Saturday 19 March, anyone interested in taking part should let them know asap.
So there are more positives than negatives but with a full complement of officials, our Club really would be one to be proud of. Play your part and get involved.

The An Riocht Pharmacy Project for older people will resume in February after the holiday break.

The Senior and Reserve footballers played Ballyholland on Sunday.

The Senior Camogs played St Louis on Sunday and came out winners on a 2-6 to 2-4 score line. Good Luck to St Louis in their All Ireland Semi-Final in a fortnight.
