With a yellow warning for heavy rain in place the Walking Group curbed their ambitions and rather than spending the morning exposed in the Mournes, instead they walked from Bryansford through Tollymore Forest Park, trying to avoid the runners, and followed the Shimna River upstream to the Trassey Road on Saturday 14 November. The forecast was correct in that they went from drizzle to heavier rain as the morning went on but they had good shelter amongst the trees. There were enough leaves left on the trees to give them some lovely views along the river.

The Walking Group's next outing is from Shaw's Bridge along the Lagan Towpath on Saturday 28 November, leaving the club at 10.00am (a later start as it is presentation night before). After that they are going back to the Mournes, for a ramble along the Rocky River, on Saturday 12 December. For further details contact Kevin McGlynn on 07835960804.

We will be planting some more daffodils for our Marie Curie Field of Memories on Saturday 21 November from 10.00am. All are welcome to come along and get their hands dirty!

The upcoming weekly cleaning rota for the clubrooms is Claire Addis's group for the week commencing 22 November 2015.

Deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Patrick Burns, Claragh.

Lotto numbers were 3, 9, 10 and 17. Brian Murphy, Danny Lively and John McCarroll were £10 winners. The jackpot is now £1,850.
