Glasdrumman club notes

November 16, 2015

It's been a great season. County Junior Champions (unbeaten) County Division 3 Winners (unbeaten) and Ulster Junior Championship semi finalists beaten by a team who were playing Senior football up to two years ago. Perspective is a wonderful thing . Yes it's disappointing to be beaten. Yes there will always be the what if's "like if we'd scored the penalty and kept 15 men on the pitch for the entire game and the rued missed chances but that's all part  and parcel of the joy ,the exhilaration and the frustration of supporting our local team. We're proud of  each and everyone of you for the efforts you put in on and off the pitch.  To all our supporters you 're a credit to our club  and to all who made flags, headbands, sponsored and fund raised we  greatly appreciate all your efforts Time to rest regroup and come back all the stronger for next year. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances Donna from "Relax Kids" couldn't make youth club on Friday night. The kids were disappointed but, thankfully, Paddy Kelly came and delivered a very enjoyable "keep fit" session with the kids. They thoroughly enjoyed it, massive thank-you to Paddy for this innovative session. There was still time to watch a Minion movie and get hot chocolate and marshmallows. It certainly was a busy and entertaining night!
Without our volunteers nights like this would be impossible so we must thank everyone for giving up their time but we have to make a special mention of young volunteer Tara Grant who every week is proving herself to be more indispensable. Thank you so much Tara!
This Friday the kids form P6 and up will be taking part in "The Great Glasdrumman Bake Off" where the boys will take on the girls to see who will win the coveted title. See you on Friday.

The clubs AGM will be on Monday 14th December at 8pm.  Why not come along and join the committee and help make our club bigger, better & stronger!  Ní neart go chur lé chéile
