Ballycran scored 1-4 without reply in the closing stages to edge out Ballygalget in an exciting Down SHC decider at Portaferry.

Having ousted Ulster champions Portaferry in the semi-final, Ballygalget came in as favourites and had one hand on the cup when leading by 0-11 to 0-6 at half-time.

They remained in control until the last 10 minutes when Stephen McAree's charges turned on the style to clinch their first title since 2011.
