Aughlisnafin club notes

September 21, 2015

*Aughlisnafin U12.5's have been graded to compete in the 'B' Championship. They have been drawn in Group 2 along with the U12 Division 2 winners Loughinisland and fellow division 2 side Carryduff B with Division 1 side Liatroim making up the four team group. Group 1 includes the other four division 2 sides Bryansford, Drumaness, St Paul's & Teconnaught. Games will be played in a round robin format every Sunday and the 'Fin will be at home to Carryduff B this Sunday at 11 am for their opening group game. On Sunday 4th October the 'Fin are away to Liatroim with their final group game, also away, to Loughinisland on Sunday 11th October. The top two teams in each group progress to the semi finals which will be played Sunday 18th October with the final scheduled to take place Sunday 25th October.

*Training for the U12.5's every Thursday at 6.30 pm in Annsborough.

*The final Go Games Blitz for Year 6's will be held this Saturday in Annsborough at 10.30 am. The visiting clubs are Ballykinlar, Bryansford, Dundrum & St John's.

*The Seniors have three league games remaining and must win all three if they are to remain in next season's division 3. They face a tough trip up to Holywood this Sunday at 1 pm to play St Paul's. After that they are away to Teconnaught on Saturday 3rd October at 4 pm with the final game a re-fixture at home to Glasdrumman on Sunday 18th October at 2 pm. With a top four finish already assured the 'Fin have everything to play for in what has been a remarkable story thus far. We wish Conor, the back room team and the players the best of luck in their endeavours.

*The club will be hosting a 'Stars in your Eyes' night in October. Several acts have already been confirmed and we are looking for a few more. Acts may sing or lip synch. A cash prize of £100 for the winner is on offer. If interested please contact the club. It will be run in conjunction with Simon Walsh of Island Events and will be a night not to be missed.

*Last weeks numbers were 4, 7, 8, 19. Mary Flanagan, Paddy Flanagan, Eddie Leeson & Michael Hawkins all matched three numbers and each won £10. Jackpot £2,750.
