Congrats to Ciara Mageean, who won the 800m at the National Championships today. Keep up the good work and best wishes from all at Portaferry GAC.

Down Club Draw - no winners from our club in the July draw, maybe next month. Can all outstanding payments please be made to your collector or Paud Mason. Thank you.

Best wishes and congrats to all our young players receiving exam results over the next couple of weeks. Remember your exam results do not define you as a person and/or predict your future. Everybody is different and will go down different career paths. Keep the head up and be proud of your endeavours no matter what. Good luck from all at Portaferry GAC.

Championships- its that time of year again, were a lot of Championship matches are taking place, some matches have already taken place. So a message to all the players, its time to knuckle down, listen to your coaches and get ready for the matches ahead. Make sure you attend all your trainings and matches, but also doing that bit extra on your own is just as important. This will improve you as a player, and then your team will reap the benefits. If we fail to prepare, prepare to fail. We all want the best for our club, and we know the success last year throughout our teams was great, but that's in the past and we must look to the present and the future. It is also important for our supporters to get behind all the teams, as always and we thank you for this. Best wishes from the Committee to all our players, managers, coaches and supporters for the remainder of the season. UP THE PORTS.
