Congratulations to the Eire Og U-10s who won the McCardle Cup in the Annaclone tournament. It was a hard fought final but the Eire Ogs were set on taking the cup home and after a close 1st half they came out for the 2nd half with determination and were worthy winners at the final whistle. A great day was had by all.......thank-you to Annaclone for the invitation to attend such a well organised and enjoyable tournament!
Training for the U-6's, 8's and 10's will continue at the Quarter Road pitch this evening from 6pm-7pm.
The U-12s had an unlucky defeat on Wednesday evening at the hands of Drumgath. At half time it looked as if it was going to be an easy win for Drumgath but a determined Eire Og team came out for the 2nd half and showed that they were there for a game. It was a brilliant 2nd half preformance from the Eire Ogs and they were unfortunate to get beat by 2 points. Training continues tonight from 6pm - 7.30pm. The next league game is an away fixture against Burren on Sunday morning. Details for travel arrangements will be given out at training.
The U-16s were unlucky to have a narrow defeat on Thursday night at home to Mitchels. It was a great preformance from the Eire Ogs and they were unfortunate not to take something from the game. Next fixture is an away game against Ballyholland tonight. Training continues on Sunday mornings.
