Kilcoo U  - 16 Ladies played their second league game at home to Saval on Sunday past. Playing with the wind in the first half, Kilcoo moved the ball well and supported one another all over the pitch, going in at half time with a scoreline of Kilcoo 8 -08, Saval 0-01.

Although playing against the wind in the second half, Kilcoo continued to apply the pressure, however Saval were given a lifeline when they were awarded a penalty early in the second half, which they  scored. This proved to be a small consolation for the Saval girls who tried hard to compete throughout the match. This was a fantastic team performance from the Kilcoo girls, the final score, Kilcoo 11-16, Saval 1-03. Kilcoo team and scorers:

After a couple of pre-season challenge games, the U12 boys got their season off to a great start. On Saturday afternoon, Kilcoo headed to Saul to face stiff opposition. Playing against a stong breeze in the first half, the boys worked very hard, running in 3 goals to take charge of the game and led by 3-5 to 1-6 at half-time. They pushed on early in the second half putting the ball in the back of the net twice within two minutes, which left Saul chasing the game. The boys ran out winners on a scoreline of 7-10 to 3-8. This year's panel is Adam Curran, Owen McEvoy, Charlie Tumilty, Luke Clarke, Nathan Rogers, Callum Rogers, Cahal Fettes, Jason Morgan, Cormac O'Reilly, Tiernan McEvoy, Conor McEvoy, Aidan McEvoy, Odhran Hynes, Miceal Grant, Lorcan Hynes, Connall Gribben and Ruairi Madine. Next up for the boys is Bredagh at home on Sunday morning.

Following on from the large turnout of the heart screening program organised by the club it has been agreed to run another similar event. If any adult wishes to take part or if you wish to have your child over 14 years old screened you should contact Danny Fettes immediately.
