The Senior Footballers played Annaclone on Sunday at Dunavil coming away with a 2-10 to 0-9 win. Best wishes to Paul Murney who sustained a serious injury during the match.
An Riocht got off to a great start when Michael O'Rourke goaled after a clever steal by Rory Cunningham but the visitors were the better team before the break and led 0-7 to 1-2. A fortieth minute Liam McVeigh top corner goal put us ahead again and a more confident final quarter showing had An Riocht outpointing Annaclone six one for a seven point victory margin.

The U16 Footballers played Aughlisnafin at Dunavil on Thursday winning 6-14 to 4-7.  Team: Paul Kearney, Thomas Murnion, Philip Curran, Caomhan Campbell 0-1, Christopher Flanagan 0-1, John Joe Eakins, Conor Clarke 1-3, Cormac Clarke, Paddy McComiskey 1-1, Ronan Campbell 2-5, Eoin Sloan 0-3, Jack Rodgers, William Harper 1-0, Joel Cunningham.

At the South Down GAA P3/P4 Gaelic Blitz @ Dunavil, An Riocht had two teams and played six games with Clonduff 'A' & 'B', Rostrevor Ogs, Longstone, Atticall, Rostrevor Gaels. Thanks to 'bp Electrics Ltd' who sponsored new jerseys for the boys.

Bosco did not field in the U12 match on Sunday morning; we have a bye this week.

Four coaches attended the Defib Refresher held at Dunavil, thanks to Michael for facilitating. There will be another one held in June.

The Senior Camogs played Ballymacnab under the Dunavil lights losing 1-5 to 3-4, there is a return fixure this week.

The Men's Shed and the Youth Club combined to mark EU Day of Solidarity between Generations supported by Linking Generations Northern Ireland and made window boxes followed by a barbeque; thanks to Pat for preparing the food.

An Riocht are running a bus to the Down v Roscommon NFL Final in Croke Park on Sunday 26th April; places must be booked before Sunday 19th April.

The Paul Farrell Cup U14 seven-a-side football tournament is just over two weeks away on Saturday 2nd May; teams confirmed are: An Riocht Down, Patrick Sarsfields Antrim, Kilcoo Down, Killeavy Armagh, Longstone Down, Michael Davitts Antrim, St Michaels Down, Keady Michael Dwyers Armagh, Con Magees Glenravel Antrim.
