Jim McCorry expects the Allianz Football League Division 2 final to be played at championship pace.
McCorry's Down charges will be aiming to avenge their February 7 defeat to Roscommon in Newry when the two promoted sides renew their rivalry at Croke Park in two weeks' time.
"They're a big strong side and they've progressed with their development within the county," the Armagh man told the Irish News.
"Obviously, their underage structure is paying dividends. They were very good the last day we met them and I'd expect them to be just the same in the final. It's a knockout game, it's championship football now and we're expecting another tough encounter.
"I would expect Roscommon to be pushing for honours within the next three years because they are a quality side with a quality manager. It's great that we'll have a really, really competitive game - no matter what the result is - because it's going to be great preparation for Derry on June 7."
