Well done to the U10 (P5/P6) hurlers who competed in the Ulster Provincial Indoor Hurling Blitz at  Meadowbank Sports Centre, Magherafelt on Saturday 7th March. Competing against teams from across Ulster, the boys played with great spirit and composure to win all five of their matches.
Thanks go to Kevin Kelly, the Ulster Council, and all those involved in organising this highly enjoyable event.  We'd also like to thank our opponents for a series of committed and sporting matches.  Thanks again to our young hurlers and their parents for their time and effort.

Congratulations to the Ladies Under-14 football squad who have retained the County Féile title in Carryduff for the third successive year. After suffering defeat by Bredagh in the Group stages Carryduff met their near neighbours in the final and emerged victorious to progress to the next stages of the National Competition. Everyone in the club is delighted with the girls success and wish them all the very best for the next stages of the competition.

The Senior footballers had two Challenge Games, at Senior and Reserve levels, against Tyrone outfit Killeeshil at Páirc Aodha Dhuibh on Saturday afternoon. Carryduff won the Reserve game with plenty to spare but found the Senior game somewhat more challenging. A significant number of Carryduff players competed both games after a number of last-minute cry-offs from some of the home contingent.

U-16 Hurling league - Carryduff -v - Liatroim
Carryduff started this encounter brightly with two early points, followed by a Lorcan McCaughey goal to give a five point lead before Liatroim had settled.  An unfortunate hand injury after just five minutes meant that Lorcan McCaughey had to leave the field, and with no substitutes available, Carryduff had to play on with 14 men and their forward line badly disrupted.  Liatroim then started to find their range to claw back into the game and build up a lead scoring 2-05.  Luke Collins took a Carryduff point just before half time to leave score at 2-05  to 1-03 to Liatroim.  In the second half, Liatroim sportingly played with 14 men to even up the numbers, but quickly extended their lead with a further three points.   Colm Latimer fired home a goal for Carryduff with a ground stroke at the end of a well worked move to give the Carryduff boys some hope, but further Liatroim scores left the final score at 3-17 to 2-03.  The Carryduff defence was resolute throughout with great performances from fullback Rory Kerr and centre back Gerald Toal.  In midfield, Eoin Maguire and Luke Collins battled bravely.  Eoin Rooney was solid and reliable between the posts, with the regular goalkeeper not available.  It was a spirited performance from the Carryduff team against a talented Liatroim team, and the Carryduff boys can be very proud of their never say die attitude.
