Aughlisnafin club notes

There will be a meeting of the Coaching & Games sub-committee this Thursday at 8 pm in the Fin Hall. All those interested in helping out with the underage football in the club are invited to attend with a view to becoming involved. You do not need to have any coaching experience, just enthusiasm and commitment. All those wanting to help out must be vetted by Access NI and also attend a Child Protection course as mandatory.

There will be a meeting of the executive committee next Tuesday evening at 8.30 pm.


The Club will have representation at the Club Officer Forums being held this week and next which are hosted by the Down County Board in the Burrendale as part of our own commitment to Good Governance & Best Practise and gaining Club Maith accreditation.


The annual charity Over 30's v Under 30's football match will be played on Sunday 15th February in Annsborough at 2 pm.


With the publication of the draft master programme by the Down County Board for the season here are some notable dates for your diary.


Sunday 15th March - First league match Seniors v Killyleagh at home.


Monday 6th April (Easter Monday) - U14 Féile in Newry.

Monday 13th April - U14's (13 aside) league commences.


Tuesday 14th April - Minor (9 aside) league commences.

Please note all participants must be registered as juvenile playing members in advance of attending so please ensure membership & parental consent forms are returned with subscription as soon as possible. Lotto numbers 4, 6,12,14. Anne Shields matched three numbers and won £50. Jackpot £1,150.


Thursday 16th April - U16's (9 aside) league commences.


It is expected that the U12's will play grading games in March to determine what league they play in with games commencing thereafter.


The Year 6 & 4 Go Games Blitzes are expected to commence in April.

Indoor training for Year 9-12 continues every Tuesday at 8.30 pm.


Coaching for Year 8's & Under begins Thursday 5th February in the Fin Hall.

P3 - P5 from 6.30 - 7.30 pm ; P6 to Yr 8 from 7.30 - 8.30 pm.


Gaelic Start Coaching for Age 4+ will re-commence Saturday 7th February.
