Alan Davidson is looking forward to reviving his Gaelic football career with Down club Bredagh after quitting Irish League side Ballymena United.
The Warrenpoint native's contract with the Braidmen was terminated at his own request on Wednesday - three days before their League Cup final against holders Cliftonville at Windsor Park.
"I'm going to give it a real go for Bredagh," Davidson told the Irish News.
"I want to concentrate on the pre-season because it won't be long until we start the league. We have a good manager there in Jody Gormley (the former Tyrone and London midfielder) and I like the way he works and his whole outlook on the game.
"There's a great bunch of boys at the club, so I will commit to that. There's no point doing both things so I'll stick to the one I enjoy."
