Down attacker Paul Devlin says 2015 is going to be a big year for him.

Having seen his former club boss Jim McCorry assume the Down hotseat, the Kilcoo clubman - part of the county senior squad since 2010 - is hoping to finally nail down a regular starting shirt with the Mourne County:

"Jim has a bit of faith in me," he says in The Irish News. "I believe that and that's why I think this is a big year for me as an individual.

"Last year, I don't think I got a fair crack at it if I was being honest. But Jim is not viewing any player on their reputation or dwelling on what they have done for Down in the past.

"Everyone is buying into his philosophy. No one will question the way he does things because of the record he had with Kilcoo.

"He took me under his wing over the last few years and, when he came to Kilcoo in '08, I was only 17 so he has been my senior manager for my whole career. He knows a lot about me and he has developed my game in so many ways."
