Clontibret ace Conor McManus is looking forward to Sunday's Ulster club championship joust with Kilcoo.

The Down champions are red-hot favourites to progress to the first-round proper but Monaghan's All Star attacker believes the O'Neill's are capable of springing a surprise at Newry:

"It's their third championship in a row and everybody knows how hard it is to win a senior championship," McManus notes in The Irish News.

"And they won easily, they won pulling up. What they have done in the Ulster Club in the last two years, they're going to be going in as one of the favourites to win it.

"So we realise what we're up against. But, having won the championship in Monaghan, it will give us a bit of confidence going into it.

"Obviously we know we're going in as underdogs, but we're looking forward to it all the same."
