SURPRISE FOR CLONDUFF U12 LADIES FOOTBALLERS
Clonduff U12 LGFA team finished joint top in their league during the 2014 season. The club presented every child with a medal following their last training session in Clonduff Park on Friday evening (10th October 2014). What a surprise awaited the children and their parents when they entered the clubrooms - there to meet them was the Mary Quinn Cup with Down LGFA members Lisa Morgan and Niamh McGowan! Most of the children and their mentors had witnessed the Down girls lift the cup on 28th September in Croke Park. Thanks Lisa and Niamh and mentors Paddy McCumiskey, Sarah Bloomfield and Kieran Kelly for organising this wonderful end of season surprise for the girls!
CLONDUFF U12 PLAYERS PLAY IN CROKE PARK
Every year Down Youth Development committee organise a day out to Croke Park for players of the future. Every club in Down is invited to send along two U12 children to experience playing Football and Hurling/Camogie on the hallowed turf and finish their visit with a Stadium tour. Kayla Woods and Laurence Brannigan had that experience on Sunday 12th October 2014. Kayla and Laurence agreed that despite the early start (they had to be in Castlewellan Square at 7am on Sunday morning in order to take full advantage of the Down slot on the pitch which was 9.30am - 11.30am) it was an occasion they will never forget!
CAMAN TO CROKER
Clonduff U12 Camogs and their mentors and a bus load of supporters are travelling to Croke Park on Saturday 18th October to participate in 'Caman to Croker'. In order to be considered for selection Clubs had to participate in 'Hurl Smart' week doing different fun activities throughout the week and evidence of this had to be sent to Croke Park. Fortunately Clonduff were one of the lucky winners. The Clonduff slot is at 9.15am so it will mean an early start for the Clonduffians. They will play three fun games with Naas (Kildare), Ratoath (Meath) and Toomeyvary (Tipperary). In all 64 clubs have been chosen to participate involving 960 children. Clonduff's Young Referee on the day will be 14-year-old Cara Boden. A wonderful day is guaranteed!

CAMOGIE
