P3/P4 Tournament in Rostrevor
At the P3/P4 Football Tournament at Rostrevor, An Riocht won the Shield after matches with Longstone, Atticall, Rostrevor Ogs, Annaclone and Rostrevor Gaels. Team: Ryan Campbell, Daegan Cordell, Liam Cousins, Jack Cunningham, Zac Curran, Oisin Davies, Conor Kelly, Shane Kelly, Oran McAleenan, Darragh McAlinden, Conor McConville, Paul O'Rourke, Luke Quinn, Luke Rafferty, Shea Rafferty, Michael Shields, Jayden White.

U16 Football v Downpatrick
An Riocht beat Downpatrick by four points, 2-10 to 2-6, in the U16 'B' FC semi-final on Saturday and now play Ballyholland in the Final. An Riocht won despite playing only in patches. At the start a Jack Rafferty goal helped us to a seven two lead but by half time that advantage was reduced to two points, 1-5 to 1-3. A good restart capped by a second Rafferty goal moved An Riocht 2-8 to 1-5 clear but again Downpatrick responded and coming towards full time were only two points in arrears and An Riocht required some top class defending from Michael Harper and Shane Cunningham to hold that lead before Liam Rodgers popped up with the final point.
Scorers: J Rafferty 2-5 (4f), R Campbell 0-2, C Clarke 0-2 (45), L Rodgers 0-1.

U18 Football v Shamrocks
The Minor footballers exited the 'A' FC to favourites Shamrocks on Tuesday past.
At half time the scores were level, An Riocht 1-6 Shamrocks 0-9, but the Newry side pulled away in the second half to win 4-19 to 1-11. Apart from a few moments of individual brilliance from Conor Clarke, the forwards offered little with too many chances past up; the midfield did not chase back after the break as the Newry midfielders rampaged into the An Riocht half to devastating effect; defensively An Riocht played ok as a unit and in goals Stephen Doran made a couple of good saves but they were overrun in the later stages.
Scorers: M O'Rourke 1-4 (3f), D Morgan 0-2, C Clarke 0-2 (1f), S Doran 0-1 (45), D Campbell 0-1, J Rafferty 0-1.
A home fixture v Liatroim should decide the destiny of the league title but with the Fontenoys still in the Championship that may be some way off.

Senior Football v Bredagh
A wonder save from Brendan McVeigh from the last kick of the match kept An Riocht in the championship on Friday past in Newry. It was a season defining moment and must surely inspire his team to better performances in two big games over the next fortnight. An Riocht looked nervous and unsure, were careless with the pass, lazy off the ball, and unrecognisable from the side that had sprayed long raking passes and performed great support play in their most recent league and championship matches.

U8 & U10 Camogie in Clonduff
An Riocht's U10 Camogs took part in a blitz in Clonduff on Friday evening playing 5 games against Kilcoo, Atticall, Ballyholland, Mayobridge and Clonduff. The girls played well on the evening and were defeated in only one game.
The team was Caitlin Small, Tori Herron, Katie Trail, Lauren Marsh, Rianna Walsh, Orla Mc Crink, Rachel Clarke, Amy Clarke, Caitlin Harper, Cerys Finnegan, Charlotte Wright, Kelcie Curran, Ella Murney and Shannon Marie Morgan.
The girls also had the opportunity to have their photo taken with the Down Camogs and wish them all the best for the All Ireland Final on Sunday in Croke Park (photo attached).
