Match Reports

U8 Football @ Longstone
The U8 Footballers played in a tournament in Longstone on Saturday making the Final. Thanks for the invitation.

U12 Camogie v Ballygalget & v Aghaderg
Ballygalget proved much too strong for the U12 Camogs despite the best efforts of Aimee Harper, the Player of the Match, and great defending from Teagan Cole and Rachel Clarke. The Aghaderg match did not take place.
In the Blitz in Monaghan An Riocht enjoyed games with Greenlough from Derry, Edendork from Tyrone and Glenravel from Antrim; winning two and drawing the third. Everyone played extremely well and tried their hardest with brilliant scores and great defending. It was a good day's camogie from start to finish and was very well organised. Team: Nanette Campbell, Shannagh Campbell, Cerys Clarke, Rachel Clarke, Caoimhe Donnan, Mollie Ireland, Aimee Harper, Lara Higgins, Sinead Morgan, Caitlin Small.

U12 Football v Bosco
The U12 Footballers had Bosco as visitors to Dunavil on Sunday and ran out winners.

U14 Camogie v Ballygalget
In the U14 Camogie Final An Riocht lost to Ballygalget in Leitrim on Sunday for the right to be crowned Champions in the Under 14 Cup Final. An Riocht won the toss and played with the wind, however the Ards team settled quick scoring two quick goals. An Riocht played well, however still found the Ballygalget half back line in fine form, who supplied good ball into their quick forwards. Caitlin Quinn in the An Riocht goals made some fine saves, and captain Caoimhe Leigh Spiers was playing well, while Andrea O'Neill swept up well during this period. In the second half An Riocht kept playing and trying so hard that Ballygalget were reduced to fewer scores with the strong wind, all said Ballygalget were very worthy winners, An Riocht can be very proud making the Championship final and indeed winning the Feile Shield in May. An Riocht played 12 matches in 2014 winning 9 and losing only 3. The girls had a great evening at the post match meal in the club and would like to thank the large group of parents that showed up to support their efforts.
