Aughlisnafin had one of the largest representation at this years Campa Chormaic hosted at St Malachy's High School. The camp was a great success, the highlight being the visit of Kilkenny hurling star Walter Walsh. There were 17 members of the 'Fin club in attendance including our Irish Language & Cultural officer Orla Ní Fhlanagáin who was one of the coaches at the camp. Those who attended were U16 players Sean Flanagan, Ben King & Faelan Murphy, U14 players Oran Flanagan, Ruairi Quinn, Adam Lenaghan, Cathal Murphy & Ruairi King and U12 players Aaran Flanagan, Michael Flanagan, Morgan Croskery, Peter O'Hare, Donncha Murphy, Conall King. Aughlisnafin girls Alana Doran and Claire Lenaghan also attended.

Another U12s player James McCabe is currently at Gaeltacht in Donegal. Roisin & Fionnuala McComiskey have recently returned from the Gaeltacht. It is encouraging to see so many of our underage members embracing the Irish Lanaguage.

Well done to Morgan Croskery who represented the club and the 'Fin school in the half time game at the Ulster Hurling Final on Sunday.

The U12's will travel to Longstone this Saturday to take part in the Ambrose Rodgers Invitational 9 aside football tournament. With several players on holidays and at Gaeltacht would those who are available to play please contact team management.

The U14s final league game against Liatroim on Monday 21st July has been postponed.

The U16s final league match is against Bredagh B in Annsborough on Thursday 24th July. It has been a tough season for the U16s whose only two wins have come against Ardglass and Mitchels. It has been a steep learning curve and the lads will have benefited greatly from their outings. The U16s are at home to Dromara for a preliminary game in the U16D Championship on Thursday 7th August. The winners will face Bredagh B in the quarter finals on Thursday 14th August.
