Minors beaten by Armagh

April 11, 2014
A Paul Quinn goal proved decisive as Down lost to neighbours Armagh by 0-8 to 1-8 in last Saturday's Ulster MFL derby in Silverbridge.

The visitors could have no complaints with the outcome given that Armagh were denied further goals by goalkeeper Marc Reid and corner back Pierce Laverty, who made a couple of goal-line clearances in the closing stages. Ryan Treanor was Down's top-scorer with 0-3 (0-2 frees), while Aaron Magee chipped in with 0-2.

Both Down and Armagh will progress to the semi-finals if Monaghan win or draw with Cavan tomorrow.
