Ballymartin GAC Club Notes
April 07, 2014
The rain had stopped but the West wind blew on Sunday afternoon when the Reserves took the field to host Glen. This proved to be great a great match with Glen winning the toss and taking advantage of the Westerly wind, they took an early lead with the first and second score followed by a goal. Ballymartin picked up the pace and used their smarts with some nifty footwork and hand-passes they found the scoreboard when Pablo blasted one over the bar with his left into the strong wind. Ballymartin held the visitors to 1-03 vs. 1-05 at the half way mark. With the wind giving Jordy an extra boost he was finding his men with the kick-outs. Ballymartin started the second half with a bit of pride on their home turf, turning their earlier 2 point deficit into a winning streak. There were some marvellous solo runs that developed great scores and a generally great performance from the guys. Fulltime score: Ballymartin 4-08 vs. 3-06 Glen.
