St Johns Notes

April 07, 2014
St Johns Under 12s travelled to Dromara for their first game of the season on Sunday.  It was a very sporting match and both teams gave their best with Dromara running out eventual winners due to some well taken goals early in the second half. The Walsh brothers were excellent with Adam playing his usual strong and steady game and was supported by Daire Cahill and Rory Ward.

Amy Doran and Oran patrolled midfield while Christopher Cope tidied up most of the spilled ball in defence. Up front Ryan Morgan, Oisin Hastings and Se Murray provided the scores. Damien McMullan worked tirelessly and scored a great goal in the dying minutes. Aron Kelly and Oran Branniff moved well when introduced and Sam O'Connor finished the game well. This performance sets the Johnnies up for their next game. Check out the club website for updated fixture details.

The Under 14s also travelled to Dromara on Monday night in their opening league fixture. Then they are scheduled to face Kilclief at home on Monday 14 April.

Training for the Under 8s is on Tuesday evenings at 6.30pm. The Under 6s training has now also been switched from a Thursday evening to Tuesday evenings at 6.30pm with immediate effect.
