Ulster club JHC: Bredagh cruise past Na Magha

October 29, 2012
Bredagh took their first Ulster title in fine style with a comfortable 14-point win over Derry's Na Magha at Casement Park on Sunday.

Bredagh (Down) 4-18
Na Magha (Derry) 3-7

The Down champions made a flying start to the game and led 1-5 to 0-0 mid way through the opening half before full forward Daryl Connelly registered Na Magha's first score.

Teenager Lorcan McMullan was outstanding in the first half registering 1-6, his goal came on 8 minutes.

Na Magha responded well with two goals of their own, from Alan Grant (penalty) and Diarmuid Shiels leaving the scores at 1-8 to 2-2.

Leading at half time - 1-10 to 2-3, Bredagh's advantage was reduced to the minimum seven minutes after the resumption when Tamar Douban fired to the net for Na Magha.

However, that was the nearest the Derry side got to them as goals from Paul Kelly and Malachy Scullin (2) set Bredagh on their way.
