Concerns for hurling club

The future of Ballycran hurling club is a cause for concern, according to their coach.

Dermot Woods is the coach of the club's senior team and he admitted to Gaelic Life that dwindling numbers at both adult and juvenile level were a major cause for concern.

"It's a very serious situation," said Woods. We are losing an awful lot of players to Australia. It used to be that you could field two teams at senior and reserve, but that is not happening. The numbers are not there any more and that goes right down to underage. It will all tell a tale eventually."
