In the u18 Gaelic Quarter-Final An Ríocht v Shamrocks, An Ríocht came from nine points down with ten minutes remaining to win by three, 3-16 to 2-16. Team: C Flanagan, JJ Eakins, C Harper, J Rodgers 1-0, M Greenan, R Flanagan, R Mackey 0-9, C Flanagan 0-1, W Harper 1-0, C Campbell 0-3, A Gribben, E Sloan 0-2, B Matthews. Sub: M Cunningham 1-1

In the u14 Gaelic Quarter Final An Ríocht v Rostrevor we won 3-17 to 2-9 with exceptional performances from Cameron Gribben in goals, Logan Rooney and Zac Curran in defence, Oran McAleenan and Luke Quinn at centre field, and Conor McConville, and Cameron Rogers in attack.

At the u16 Gaelic Quarter-Final in Drumgath, the Drumgath/Annaclone amalgamation beat us 3-11 to 3-9. A goal down at the break, we did not make full use of a strong wind on the restart and failed to turn lots of possession into enough scores.

In the Senior Gaelic An Ríocht v Saval, we lost 2-16 to 0-10; still in the game at four down with ten to go, we folded once they hit their second goal.

At the All Ireland Senior Football Sevens at Glenalbyn, An Ríocht played matches v Athlone, Naomh Barrog and hosts Kilmacud Crokes in the group stages and then against Thomas Davis and Carryduff in the Quarter and Semi Finals but lost a second match v Kilmacud 1-9 to 1-11 in the All Ireland Final. Team: Conor Cole, James Colgan, Conor Clarke, Rory Cunningham, Ronan Campbell, Philip Curran, Ronan McAlinden, Deaglan Morgan, Michael O’Rourke and Aidan Sloan. Well done.

24 teams participated at the Patsy Conkey u12 & Sharon Morgan u16 Camogie tournaments at Dunavil on Saturday with Ballinderry winning the Patsy Conkey Cup, Edendork the Patsy Conkey Shield, Ballygalget the Sharon Morgan Cup and Edendork the Sharon Morgan Shield. An Ríocht were runners-up in both Shields. Thanks to everyone who helped out with the preparations, on the day itself and with the clean-up afterward, it was a real team effort; those who opted not to be involved missed out on being part of something good. And a big thanks to Eurospar Kilkeel who sponsored lots of goodies for the players.

At the u12 Ellen Finnegan Camogie tournament in Castlewellan, An Ríocht played games with Bredagh, Clonduff and Cushendall. Thanks to the coaches who gave up two days running to provide the girls with the invaluable experience of playing new teams.

Thanks to Paul, Christopher, Liam, Paul and John Joe who gave up their Sunday morning to refurb the emergency lighting at the club.
