Tuesday 14th 6pm Irish Dancing; u10 Gaelic An Ríocht v Longstone; 7pm Girls & Boys Groups aged 7 to 11 years; 7.30pm the third An Ríocht 5 Year Plan will be launched.

Wednesday 15th 10.30am Cook It Programme; 11am Men’s Shed; 3pm Grange Afterschool; YA Youth Worker Training; 6.30pm u14 Gaelic; 7pm / 8.30pm IMPACT Youth Pharmacy Project – preparing for Residential; 7.30pm Senior Camogie Liatroim v An Ríocht; Senior Gaelic.

Thursday 16th 4 to 7 year group games; 7pm u10 Camogie; 7pm Club Maith visit; 7.15pm u12 Gaelic An Ríocht v Clann Na Banna; 8pm Fund Raising committee meeting.

Friday 17th 11am Men’s Shed; 5.30pm u10 Gaelic; 6pm KYC Residential at East Coast; NO Youth Club tonight; 7pm Senior Camogie; 7.30pm Senior Gaelic Longstone v An Ríocht.

Saturday 18th KYC Residential continues at East Coast; 11am u12 Camogie An Ríocht v Dromara; 11am u6 Gaelic; 12.30am u8 Gaelic; 5pm Reserve Gaelic Kilcoo v An Ríocht.

An Riocht won the Senior Gaelic v Carryduff, 3-6 to 1-11 with goals from Michael O’Rourke, Eoin Sloan and Ronan Campbell and great displays at the back from Stephen Doran, Paul Allen, James Colgan, Ryan Spiers and Michael Trainor.

 

The Reserve Gaelic Burren v An Ríocht did not take place for the second time in two weeks.

 

In the u16 Gaelic An Ríocht v Warrenpoint, we lost 2-3 to 1-18 to the league leaders.

 

At the u14 Gaelic Bosco v An Ríocht we lost 6-15 to 0-4.

 

In the u14 Camogie An Ríocht v Darragh Cross, we lost 5-2 to 8-1.

 

The u12 Camogie, Aghaderg v An Riocht was a good game.

 

An Riocht did not attend the South Down u8 Gaelic Blitz in Saval.

 

The u12 footballers played at half time in the home senior match v Carryduff, well done.

 

The Kingdom Men’s Shed and the Kilkeel Community Association attended the Ulster Transport Museum to visit the Tim Peake Experience. The space capsule which after 186 day transported Tim and his two colleagues from the space station back to the flat lands of the Kazakh Steppe in Kazakhstan was on display until Saturday. On the way home the group stopped for lunch at Great Jones in Newcastle. The next planned outing is Wednesday 22nd May when they will attend the ‘Young at Heart Retirement Living Exhibition’ in the Burrendale Hotel Newcastle.

 

Six volunteers attended the Defibrillator Refresher on Tuesday, thanks to Michael for facilitating.

 

0n Tuesday 4th June there will be a mental health initiative launched at Dunavil, there should be no other activities arranged between 7pm and 8pm that night and all coaches and mentors should attend.

 

Please can everyone interested come along to the club on Saturday 22nd June for 11:30am. We would like as many as possible to attend wearing their club colours. It is also important for coaches to attend and encourage the teams to come along for the making of a promotional video.

As part of Dementia Action Week, Newry & Mourne Alzheimer Society will hold a workshop at Dunavil on Wednesday 22nd May at 11am, all interested are welcome to attend.

 

The u6, u8 & u10 County Camogie Blitzes have been changed from Sunday 26th May to Saturday 25th May.
