*Our seniors recorded a comfortable win over Antrim side St Malachys this afternoon in cold blustery conditions at Pairc Baile Anna. 

 

Thanks to them for the game and also thanks to Roisin and Jenny for looking after us over in the social club with very welcome refreshments and also to Ellie, Shauna and Anthea for providing all the sandwiches. 

 

Training continues every Tuesday and Thursday evening at 6.45 pm.

 

*Baile an Locha minors got their league campaign underway with a hard fought win against a competitive Castlewellan offering this morning in horrible conditions for football. 

 

The Loch led 0-10 to 0-3 at half time before outscoring the visitors 1-09 to 0-6 against the wind in the second half.

Morgan Croskery with a confident display between the posts. Rory McMullan was outstanding at centre half back and scored a beauty of a point off the outside of the right boot. Up front the guile and craft of Andrew Gilmore and Caolan Burns tormented the ‘Town throughout with Marc Quinn also impressing. Dermy Lavery and Damian McMullan winning the midfield battle. Well done lads.

 

Next up is the Dromara/Dundrum amalgamation away game on Sunday 24th March. 

 

The minors played An Riocht in a challenge match last Tuesday evening and will play Clonduff this Thursday night at 7.30 pm under lights.

*Our U14s will meet Ardglass at home in their opening ‘C’ league fixture on Monday 1st April. Training will commence next week. 

 

*Our U12s are back in division 2 after a few years away. A talented crop of players and they will meet St Johns in their opening game on at home on Sunday 7th April, a repeat of the U11 league final which the Johnnies won back in October. Training every Wednesday at 7 pm in the Fin Hall. 

 

* Congrats to our senior player Christian Peters who helped University of Manchester become the All Britain Div 2 Champions. Christian lines out between the posts but is a tenacious defender also. Well done Christian!

 

* Club Lotto Result Friday 8 March. Numbers were 4, 12, 17, 23. No Jackpot Winner. Sinead Magorrian matched 3 numbers and won £10. Jackpot is now £4,400, the biggest in the parish. Make sure you get your ticket for next Fridays Draw.
