There were plenty of unbeaten records on the line as Round Three of the national football league got up and running tonight.

In Division One, Kerry had a 100% record to protect against holders Dublin in a mouth-watering encounter at Tralee, while Mayo were also bidding to register their third straight victory when they welcomed Cavan to Castlebar,

Kildare and Fermanagh were also unbeaten thus far going into their Division Two meeting at Enniskillen. And Westmeath, who had accumulated three points from a possible four prior to tonight, travelled to Newry to face Down in Division Three.
