Christmas Turkey Whist Drive – on Friday 7th December at 8pm in the Park. Admission is £5.00. Light Supper will be provided. Everyone welcome. Spread the word. 

 

Christmas Draw and Auction – the Senior Camogs and Hurlers are running a draw to raise funds for Club Development. This is on Sunday 23rd December and Santa will be in attendance. To date we have a signed All Ireland Limerick jersey and a Kilkenny Jersey for the auction. Tickets available from Senior Camogs and Hurlers, Peninsula Sports and the Club Bar.

 

Scor na nOg – a big Well Done and thank you to our girls who competed in the All County final last week. They had no joy against very tough opposition but should be very proud of their achievement getting to County Final. You done yourselves, families and club proud. Thank you for all your time and talents. Also a massive thank you to Kathy McGrattan for all her hard work with the Scor participants. This is much appreciated.

 

Applications - are now being accepted for Senior/Reserve Hurling and Camogie management positions. All applications to club secretary, Sean Young.

 

A big thank you to all those who helped out for the Mass deceased members of our club. Thank you to Fr McGrady who put on a lovely service.

 

Annual Dinner Dance 2018 - a big thank you to all those who helped in any capacity in the lead up to Saturday night and on Saturday night. Special mention to those who made the hall look so great, thank you. Big thanks to Colm from Salthouse Restaurant, the food was top class as always. Thank you to Fr McGrady, who was our special guest and always very welcome in our club. Prize winners for the season were as follows: Hannah Toner Senior Camogie Player of the Year, collecting the Martin Coleman memorial cup. Gerra McGrattan picked up the Most Promising Senior Camog. Erin McGrattan was Intermediate Player of the Year. Soaring Star award to Niamh Mallon. Colleges All Star to  Saoirse Sands. Senior Hurler of the Year Conor O'Neill, collecting the Kathleen Mason memorial cup. 2nds Player of the Year Garry Coffey. Club Person of the Year Vincent Mason. Well done to all the winners.

 

Ports Do Strictly – this is a notice from the Fundraising Committee. If we don’t get male dancers soon, the show won’t happen. This is the last call for male dancers for Strictly 2019? All our men are very shy and it looks like the show won’t happen next year. If you are interested let Anne Fitzsimmons know ASAP. Don’t nominate other people unless you have asked them. Spread the word. Thank you.

 

Juveniles 2019 – the AGM has taken place and a big thank you to all those who attended and have taken on roles for next season. There are some vacant positions. Anyone that is interested in filling any of the vacant positions, helping with any team or knows of anyone interested please contact Karol Keating ASAP.
