At the u12 Pat Doyle Gaelic Tournament at Liatroim we played Drumgath, Annaclone and Bryansford in the group stages, then Dromara in the semi-final of the Shield and Longstone in the final in a great game just narrowly missing out with the last kick before the hooter sounded. Everyone played very well, although special mention to our youngest player Logan whose high catching was excellent and he also grabbed a goal. The lads were very gracious in defeat, they stood with their heads held high and their chests out shaking the hands of their opponents like proper little men. Team and scores throughout the day: Luke Rafferty, Logan Rooney (1-0), Paul O’Rourke, Michael Shiels, Daegan Cordell (0:3), Luke Quinn (3-2), Ethan Finnegan (2-2), Ryan Campbell (2-1), Conor Kelly (0-2), Sean Small, Rory McRann, Shea Rafferty (0-1). Thanks to Liatroim for the invite.
