In the U14 Gaelic at Dunavil An Riocht lost to Burren 3-14 to 5-14

In the Intermediate Camogie at Dunavil, An Riocht beat Ballycran 3-6 to 1-4. We got off to a dream start when Tierna Rooney fired a high ball into the roof of the net and though the Ards team hit back with a couple of points, our defence was quite impressive particularly Shaunece Harper, Cerys Clarke and Rachel Cunningham. Points from Colleen and Clare Fearon cancelled out those Ballycran scores and when they added a third, An Riocht responded with a second goal, this one from Colleen Fearon to lead 2-2 to 0-3 at half time. Ballycran pointed first on the restart but Clare Fearon replied and after a period with no score, midfielder Sophie Bowater rattled over two long range points. Ballycran kept in the match with a well taken goal to leave four between the teams but Caoimhe McAlinden pounced on a Sophie Bowater delivery to stroke home our third goal and leave the result safe before Tiarna Rooney added a late pointed free for a handsome eight-point win.

Team: Andrea O'Neill, Aisling Clarke, Shaunece Harper, Caoimhe Leigh Spiers, Cerys Clarke, Rachel Cunningham, Patrice Matthews, Sophie Bowater 0-2, Ellie Hughes, Tiarna Donnan, Tierna Rooney 1-1 (f), Colleen Fearon 1-1, Clare Fearon 0-2. Subs: Caoimhe McAlinden 1-0, Ciarrai Connor, Orlaith O'Rourke, Caoimhe Donnan.

In the U18 Gaelic at Dunavil, An Riocht beat Glenn 6-10 to 3-10.

In the Senior Camogie at Portaferry, An Riocht lost 2-9 to 2-21. Despite losing, the An Riocht girls played very skilful camogie and showed great resilience with determination. There was no shortage of big hearts in An Riocht shirts, onward and upward girls.

In the U12 Gaelic at Dunavil, An Riocht lost to Bosco 3-1 to 2-12 and to Burren 1-3 to 5-9.

In the U16 Gaelic at Dunavil, An Riocht beat Rostrevor 5-20 to 1-7

In the Senior Gaelic at Warrenpoint, An Riocht lost 2-13 to 4-22.

In the P3/P4 Gaelic Blitz at Dunavil, An Riocht had two teams and enjoyed games with Mayobridge and Atticall.

In their first U12 Camogie league game at Ballycran, our young side did really well losing out narrowly on an 8-0 to 8-4 score. The girls were a credit to our club, we have a promising bunch of girls who have great determination. Team: Olivia Fegan, Shannon Marie Morgan, Ella Small, Aoife Rooney 3-0, Zoe Gannon, Lauren Marsh, Annie McAleenan, Cliona Finnegan, Anna Quinn 2-0, Mya Campbell 2-0, Annalise White 1-0, Mya Cousins, Caoimhe Grant.
