An Riocht (Down) have announced details of their Underage Gaelic Football Tournaments for 2018:

Saturday 19 May: 

Brian O'Hare Cup U12 Football 9-a-side (winners, Bellaghy Cup & An Riocht Shield)

Saturday 2 June 

Paul Farrell Cup U14 Football 7-a-side (winners, Kilcoo Cup & Sarsfields Shield) 

Saturday 9 June

Adrian McAlinden Cup P3/P4 Football 11-a-side (winners, Skryne Cup & Keady Shield)

Saturday 16 June

Jim Mulholland Cup P5/P6 Football 11-a-side (winners, Bellaghy Cup, St Brigids Shield & Keady Plate)

 

Each day the first games throw in at 10am, the knock out stages begin at 1pm with the Finals from 3pm; there will be up to 9 pitches in use. 

These tournaments are sanctioned by Croke Park. The emphasis each day will be on playing against new teams, making new friends and enjoying the occasion. Teas, soft drinks and hot food etc will be on sale all day. Last year 161 teams from 14 different Counties took part in our tournaments.

It is a real example of what the GAA is all about. Our lads lost in the ¼ final but they learned & enjoyed so much.
