Glasdrumman club notes

December 18, 2017

As we approach the end of another year  our thoughts turn  not to turkey, mistletoe or presents but to Scór Sinsir 2018. The key dates  for us  are  2nd and 4th  February for the South Down heats .   Anyone interested  in helping us boost the Club's profile in Scór Sinsir  please contact me  [email protected] or any committee member.

Speaking of Scór , we 're saddened to have learned of the passing of  Harry McEvoy. A member of  the Carryduff  Club , Harry was awarded a lifetime recognition award for his commitment , dedication and promotion of Scór both within the County and Country.   A true gentleman whose advice was  always appreciated when  we approached him about Scór within the Club.  We pass on our condolences to the McEvoy family. Go dtuga Dia suaimhneas sioraí dó.

Congratulations to William James Smith on being voted in as Cultural Officer for the County for another year. Congratulations also  to Amy Mc Clelland on her selection for the Down LGFA U-15 team for 2018 and to Shane Harrison on his recall to the County Squad to join up with his brother Connaire.

Club AGM Wednesday 10th January at 8.00 p.m .All members please attend. It's coming up to yjr 50th anniversary of the Club when it reformed in 1969 and we hope to undertake a programme of very ambitious projects. These  will require that we all put our best foot forward to bring these to fruition.
