Division Three 2011
According to 2011 regs only two go down. Burt can still get into promo play offs but also can be in for relegation playoffs but that is unlikely. Need one point to be safe. They possible play N Mhuire this weekend with N Mhuire with nothing to play for . Looks like N Colmcille v Carn in playoffs for relegation. As for the other N Brid plays either Nauls Burt or A Ruadh depending on how each do against Burt

Anyone in Down will tell you that Liam Doyle is a fantastic footballers but has been hampered with injuries for the past number of years. He has played most pf his football in the fowards so it was no suprise to me that he managed 1-4. Good enough performance overall for Donegal, we should have won and sat back too much after our goal when we should have been driving on for the win. We need a free taker and hope thats the end of Durkan making his way up to hit 45's!!

hungrybob Ryan Bradley appeared to be on Doyle but the way donegal play they didnt really have man to man marking. Doyle did very well and has sweet left boot.

I dont agree with the above. There are alot of glenties people that would never see the badness in their players but I agree with anyone you likes brick and mcloone. Brick offers something that some others dont. I dont think he will be starting come championship but I would definately have him on with Colm McFaddan out.

BTW this coming from someone who generally doesnt like glentie or their players/support but once that Donegal jersey comes on we're all in it together.
Very happy wit the feedback here. Everyone seems proud and while the result isnt ideal we played our best. Constructive criticism is great but lets show the lads were behind them on sunday.

obviously disapointed we didn get somethin last nite but i left with lot of positives and its gud to c that evryone else feels same as opposed to makin negative comments....we wer short in personal which was probably difference we made few mistakes and kicked few bad wides but nobody does this intentionally
great to c young o reilly gettin a chance he looks a real prospect also it brings a hugh interest to finn valley region...big game next week so lets get to lk and support the team cos these younger players like reilly and mcbrearty need to be playn division 1 football next year

Naomh Mhuire promoted to Div 2 as a result of Burts defeat to Downings today. Having led the league from the first game 11 months ago....N Mhuire are worthy winners.

Burt on the other hand have frustrated this division with all kinds of carry on all year. No doubt having sought and got postponement after postponement.....and even sitting down with other clubs at a meeting and agreeing a proposal and then breaking it.....they will probably now try to get their league games completed quickly so they can start the whole process again!!!

Agreed about Durcan, dislike when see other teams bringing the goalkeeper up and now here we are at it too...Shocked that Dermot Molloy didnt start, Classon was a poor poor choice, didnt show well during mcKenna Cup so dont know how big Jim felt justified in starting him.Onwards and upwards

Agree with the above. good performance and could have took it at the end.
Durkin shouldnt be taking free when we have other kickers on the field (griffin, brick or mcbrearty,even mark mchugh can take them). Its not something I like at all as it slows play.

I think brick is a great talent. He isnt murphy but then again nor is anyone else in Ireland. I was surprised to see him not starting as he is the only other player capable of consistantly scoring from play as proved when mchugh was only forward to score from play (griffin and mcbrearty drew fould so must be givin credit for that). He will get the scores but I understand he will kick few wides aswell which is frustrating.
Bricks score in second half was brilliant. same for anthony thompsons pass over the bar.

I thought it was great to see paddy mcgrath take the responsibility of marking coulter. He was only person in full back that could (nearly) keep with him.

Down looked the fitter team overall but I dont mind that so much. Did mcLoone seem somewhat unfit? I really like him but he didnt do much of his trademark breaks from defence.

Peterpollywog i was at the game have to agree thought mc hugh and neil gallagher were donegals best , mcElhinney was an improvement when he came on,i thought lacey showed well works well off the ball as did mc gee ....
Taking the positives from the game we had a lot of possion ,defended well ,it was just in the final 3rd we lost it , silly mistakes forwards droping balls etc.
Griffin and Classon one things for sure they will work hard for the team ..
murphy and mc fadden will make a huge differance ...
I feel when theses players return we will be able to compete against any team ,even the dublin and the kerrys ,after all its only the start of or second year of a 5 year plan.....
Looking forward to seeing or good defence ,throwing balls into murphy , mc bearty and mc fadden , them 3 guys will cause any teams problems in 2012 +
Also i would like to see more of the younger players like what happened last night o reilly comming on and never put a foot wrong , walsh and mckinley had a good mc kenna cup also and should get a chance .
Overall i think we will grind out results and keep or div 1 status..............

Slow start, but came into the game well. McHugh decent enough as was Neil Gallagher. Some easy chances missed at the end to level or even win the game. Teams have to realise just because their keeper has a massive kick it doesn't make them a free taker, not every keepers as accurate as cluxton. Brick is far to inconsistant also. Pity about the jerseys too shocking looking!
