Doesn't auger well for the young talent in glen, even worse result considering they were at home. I pointed out the dearth of young talent in glen on another thread before their championship game with cloughaneely and I was laughed at. Who's laughing now? Expect to see this once proud club playing Junior football within two years.

Naomh Conaill vs Glenswilly
Extraman the fact that Glenswilly didnt use the high ball into Murphy is what cost them the game on Sunday. He spent most of the game out around the half forward line and two balls lumped into him created the two goals. Then he was moved back out and Glenswilly who then didnt have a focal point of their attack started to lose ball when if Murphy stayed in full forward line he had the absolutely beating of your man from Glenties. Plus the more Glenties pushed forward would of isolated him 1 on 1 with man he had beating of.

milford couldn't even field a team tonight, doesn't say alot for how the gaa in run down there in milford!!!
i fancied their chances aswell!!!

Milford is a soccer town and always will be sure they can't even field a reserve team.

Be interesting to see if young Murphy sticks around now with the Aussies coming in October he might be inclined to take up the offer now before it's to late I don't think anybody would begrudge him if he decided to give the AFL a shot after all he has given great service at a young age to both his Club and County.

Best/Worst Pitch played on in the County
Best - O'Donnell Park & Termon in Northern area, Killybegs new pitch is probably best in Southern area

Worst - Fanad in Portsalon Very boggy if wet, Gaoth Dobhair is basically a mx of sand and moss so isnt great, Dungloe though has to be the worst pitch by a mile so many dips and hollows across the pitch
