Intermediate Championship Semi Final - Seniors:
Gaeil Fhánada v St.Nauls
Sunday 24th September
Time and Venue TBC
Huge game for our seniors where they will aim to reach the Intermediate Championship Final for the first time since 2009. They know a tough task awaits them in the form of St.Nauls. Full match preview will be available on our social network pages later this week.
Division Three Reserve League:
Naomh Ultan 0-10
Gaeil Fhánada 1-8
A late point from senior manager Aidan McAteer got the reserves over the line against a stubborn Naomh Ultan team on Saturday. The lads were badly depleted on the day with an injured Shaun McElwaine (Tommy) playing in goals and keeping a clean sheet while Ciaran McElwaine made a comeback after a 4 year absence. The win keeps their slim hopes of a league title alive.
Lotto Results:
Numbers: 1, 12, 14, 19, 23.
No jackpot winner.
€100 Siobhan Coyle, Ballyhernan.
Next week's jackpot €3200!!!
U13 Girls:
Another fine win on Saturday for our U13 Girls over Dungloe. This adds to their wins over St.Eunans, Buncrana and Ardara. The game was played in wet and windy conditions but the Fanad girls were too strong for a gallant Dungloe in the end up.
Next up is a long away trip to Aodh Ruadh who are also flying high in the league. Fanad will hope to make it five wins from five but know a tough challenge awaits.
U13 boys:
Our U13 boys made it five wins from five with a solid win over Letterkenny Gaels on Sunday. This victory means the lads have a home tie in the all county quarter final. Speedy recovery to wing back Aaron McConigley who picked up a bad injury last week and forward Darren McAteer who is also out injured at the minute. The team will be hoping to get all the injured lads back for the knock out stages.
Gaeil Fhánada 'Le Chéile' program:
The first cash draw for the Le Chéile program will take place this week, the draw winner will be announced on our social media page. A cool €400 is up for grabs.
Congratulations!!
A big congratulations to former club player Patrick McConigley and his wife Siobhan on the birth of their baby boy. That's three boys in the house now and we are sure they will make a hardy half back line in years to come.
